What is Management By Strengths? The Management By Strengths (MBS) system provides tools to increase productivity, improve customer satisfaction and employee morale through an improved understanding of how to work together more effectively. It is a proactive team building program designed to be used throughout an organization. It goes far beyond just describing human temperament traits. Gaining a better understanding of one’s temperament is an important first step, but most “profiling programs” stop there. With the Management By Strengths seminar, employees quickly learn to apply simple principles to focus on the strengths of their coworkers. Employees can improve relationships with their colleagues within a day, which might otherwise take years. The MBS profile indicates a person’s strength patterns and communication style. MBS identifies four traits: Directness, Extroversion, Pace, and Structure. Each trait is associated with a number of characteristics and behaviors. The MBS program is not a system for stereotyping, but for recognizing the positive and strong traits of colleagues in order to work with people in the way to which they will best respond. The program shows employers and managers how to capitalize on their employees’ strengths, and how to achieve consensus and agreement much more quickly. |

The
Management By Strengths
(MBS)
Program addresses diversity in a fundamental
way. Management By Strengths (MBS) teaches that through a better understanding of a person's communication style, their temperament, we are equipped to work more effectively with that person. An understanding of temperament helps break down many of the racial, gender, social, and other communication barriers that can stand in the way of people effectively working together. The term "Personality Profile" is frequently used, but temperament is even more basic. Many things go into forming a person's "personality," such as environment, upbringing, integrity, education, faith, job skills, etc. MBS goes deeper and focuses on each person's underlying temperament, which is the foundation upon which personality is built. The traits of a person's temperament are often easy to identify if we simply pay attention to different behavior characteristics. |

Why is Management By Strengths (MBS) Unique? Management By Strengths (MBS) is a system of easy-to-use tools, which lead to new ways of thinking and communicating. MBS is proactive rather than just descriptive. Employees receive concise, easy-to-understand reports and colored grids that can be displayed in the work place for easy reference.
